Incorporating cutting edge sensor technology into a passive hydroponic setup. Connecting household plants to the Internet of things and in doing so simplifying the complex but highly efficient growing technique of hydroponics.
Tactile interaction with the plants provides visual feedback through integrated LEDS giving the user an indication of the health of the plant and what user inputs are required to keep the plant alive and healthy in an indoor environment. This activity can also be tracked on a custom app developed alongside the product.
A variety of techniques were used to create Nouvi including, slip casing, glass blowing and 3D printing the form of the product was able to be achieved as well as skill development was enhanced.
